Due to a still throttle, I am changing out my throttle mechanism and cables on my Trapper 500 Oystercatcher. The mechanism is full of rust after years of leaks from the mechanism. I am trying to remove the mechanism, after removing the cables, and can see no way to remove the mechanism from the front. I will also want fit a new mechanism soon. there is a screw on the back of the throttle plate but this is rusted and I assume the parts must be separated to fit into this tight space. The hole is as per the dimensions on the teleflex side mount throttle.

Any ideas, thoughts would be appreciated. throttle mechanism.jpeg

Clear out the heads of the machine screws in the corners?

Have you access to the back of it?
Should be just a few nuts holding it on?

My old boat's was held on with self tappers that were somewhat rusty.

Thanks. Can you explain.....Clear out the heads of the machine screws in the corners??

That's the exact same from behind. I have removed the 4 self tapping screws attached to the hull but the screw shown on the image is rusted and not moving - and is very difficult to access. I do have limited access above via the ignition panel. I still can't see how the mechanism either comes out either through the front or the rear. the large metal throttle plate cannot get out the hole.
