Back in the early 90's I had a job doing accounts for a pub group who then had around 60 pubs in the Welsh valleys - one or two Landlords were a challenge on the phone. Easily beaten by the two Glaswegian doormen mates back in my nightclub days however - I couldn't understand a word they said for the first 6 months without first sinking half a bottle of whisky... (ideally them and me so we were equally slowed and slurred! )
