Season starts here...

Ah.

Not an option then :)

Looks great anyway

Thanks, I have the rope fender being made by Chatham ropery, they have already made me one, but not in the size I ordered..(mine will come out at 85mm diameter) , they are a charitable organisation bless them and any money they were making out of my purchase has gone down the plug hole... I did make enquiries at Langmans Rope suppliers in Holland for a black polyester rope, but at just under £2000 delivered I couldn't bring myself to do it! So just waiting for the new one to arrive, I was promised it today but after little contact from them I doubt it will appear... hopefully will be here tomorrow or Friday so i can get it fitted on the weekend and I will take some pics!

Hi James,

I saw Seabird was back at Mercury when I arrived. Fairways went back in yesterday so she's good to go for the season ahead. Lets hope it's a cracker!!

And Steve, don't worry already sorting the weather out, this weekend looking pretty good! So where's Thanks Mum... excuse for an early season run out surely!?

Thanks James, your not wrong. That first run out to sea and the way you open the throttle and she goes like a rocket with a clean bum and no junk on board (yet)..... No feeling like it.

Ha! I know what you mean... next run out, food, dinghy, outboard, water, clothing, family, dog, all loaded up like you are going into battle and things become a little more sluggish!

Bugger off you lot. With you GRP boats a quick polish and ready to go.

BB, if you are an engine collector and swap engines every fortnight, GRP has nothing to do with it :p

cheers

V.

PS. nice job FF, 85mm dia is a hell of a rope there! is it going to be single coloured or black/white combo (don't really like the combos...)

Thanks v, rope is natural coir (so coconut coloured)

Seabird relaunched yesterday, please excuse her temporary nakedness, new rope fender on order and if the cutty sarks rigger gets a move on and gets it finished it maybe fitted this weekend.
