Hi all,Im in need of a bit of addvice.
I have had in my drive a Seasafe Pacific 550 which i have had covered up for many years and now have started working on her with a view to a few fishing trips, thames estery and inland marks, nothing to adventuress at first. The problem i have is when i bought her she was missing a canopy, frame and fittings.I have managed to track down and buy a second hand(nearly new)canopy cover and bought and made a new 316 stainless frame,.But now comes the problem. The boat is missing the perspect and ally framed windshield, and try as hard as i can ,i have not been able to locate a new or second hand one or someone who can make me one.If i could even get hold of a plan with the detailed mesurements i would even try and make one myself. So please if there is anyone on here who could offer any sujestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Trouble is the person who owned the boat before me took off and filled in all the fixing points on the stern ,port and starboard so I have no way of holding the canopy in place. Also I have had to make the stainless frame for the canopy from photos of other boat as I could not get dimentions anywhere and there are also about 6 fixing points on the wind shield. If I make one I will have to use a thicker perspex as I also do not have the alloy frame that goes around it.

I think I could possibly make a wind shield out of a thick perspex so that would compensate for no alloy frame.what would suggestions be, 5mm or 10mm?

Make your own alloy frame, plenty of suppliers of alloy around, you could either weld or riviet it, numerous ways to fix it to the boat. Ideally you should have started with screen and then made the frame and the cover,
You'll now have to reverse engineer the screen. Start with the frame and cover up and then make a wooden pattern to get the correct shape for the screen to fit the canopy, this could just be a piece of ply or a frame, same with the side windows. Then you can make your alloy frame
