I have Seareef headsail furling gear. Does anyone know how to dismantle the foil and drum so that I can replace my forestay?
There was a previous post in 2002/2003 but it is not clear which seareef gear was being referred to. There are 2 types shown in an (very) old advert in PBO. The gear I have has an open drum and the headsail is hoisted with a wire halyard over a block at the top of the foil. The other type has a closed drum and a, more conventional, slider on the foil to hoist the sail.
If any of the previous posters are still active, especially the person who had a Seareef hand book, please get in touch.
