Afternoon all
I am searching for a reliable outboard engineer in the Brighton area. Any recommendations please ?
I have been unable to take my boat out for about 10 months (medical reasons) but yesterday was all set to go and discovered I have a non-starter !!!
The outboard engine is a 2010 Yamaha 115hp which has been very lightly used since new. It is sat on the back of a Merry Fisher 645.
I made sure the boat battery was fully charged and had a jump start hooked up for good measure in case it was a bit sluggish "waking up". Made sure fuel side was all present and correct.
Although it would turn over nicely it would not spring into life, not even attempt to give a "lighthearted cough".
A boaty neighbour had a look and confirmed the fuel side seemed all ok but still no start. With neither of us having a clue about the electric side of things it would seem the attention of a professional is needed. Probably with his diagnostic computer !.
Apparently the fuses are ok.
Am a bit reluctant to hand it over to-in house marina mechanics unless I have to.
Any suggestions/recommendations will be much appreciated
