SEALING WINDOWS

I have a Hunter Horizon, I need to reseal the windows. I could use a marine quality sealant but does anybody know of a gasket type material that I could use instead ?

Ive just had to seal one of mine in a hurry and have found that Wicks sell a silicon sealer for heating systems that sets under water , and it sets clear.
Just the thing to keep in the tool kit.

There's a huge range of bathroom and window sealants in B@Q.
I suspect they're good enough for marine windows, but should not
be put into Norseman or Stalock terminals.

Contact Hunter and they will supply you with the correct gasket at a very reasonable price as a mate of mine has just done on his Horizon 23.

i desperately need to replace the useless sikaflex seals on my windows, where can i get the right type of neoprene?
heard it worked perfectly on a aussie boat we met in europe last year which seems a good test to me.

ordinary building grade silocon works very well i used it on by boat a few years ago and ive had no problems. its suppost to have a life of 15 years + it only costs £2- £3 a tube avalible from building mercants (their the cheapest place to buy it from) or b&Q if you whant to get robbed blind.

if its a rubber seal u need to make you can buy sheet neopreen in various thickeness from 1mm upwards from companies specilising in seals and rubber try the yellow pages.
