My toerail with 5coats of woodskin. Takes about 30mins to put on one coat, and as vyv says, minimal preparation needed

At the London Boatshow
There was an Awlgrip example being shown off, looked very smart and we use Le Tonkinois with satisfactory results and it does cope with recoating. Just not as hard wearing as we would like.
