I know there is a compound available from the chandlers that can add a liquid sealant to the inside of the air chambers, but is there anything non nautical that can achieve the same task (also cheaper) ?
I think that distributing a sealant evenly around the inside of an inflatable would be fairly difficult. I had an old Avon which went soft after 2-3 days, I painted it with Polymarine Hypalon Paint, really for cosmetic reasons, and was surprised at the improvement in air-tightness, but not particularly cheap these days.I know there is a compound available from the chandlers that can add a liquid sealant to the inside of the air chambers, but is there anything non nautical that can achieve the same task (also cheaper) ?
