Hello,
new to the forum, new to boating, and have a few questions.. any Sealine SC35 owners who have insight, I would be grateful if you can get in touch..?
question 1, the loo..!
My Manual shows a black waste and a grey waste tank, but in reality, there appears to be only 1 tank about midships... however it does have four pipes leading into/out of it, so maybe its partitioned inside..? anyway, the black waste light came on, took it to Windsor and did the pump out thing! it seemed to pump out liquid for the duration of the pump timer - about 15 mins.. but then 2 days later and not a lot of flushes, the black waste light came on again..?
The seacock is switched over to tank, but my logic tells me there should be a way of replacing the matter removed from the tank with air, otherwise the pump will struggle to pull anything out due to the vaccum its creating..?
Any thoughts would be appreciated..?
qusetion 2, bilge pumps..
there are two switches on the dash for pumps, if I turn them on, they light up red and after 5 seconds I get a piercing alarm, so turn them off.. I guess this means they are run dry, but then I have water in my rear port locker that looks to be over the pump housing..? any way I can check this is all running OK..? when I bought the boat it was dry as a bone, but now I have water sat in the bilge... thoughts..?
As a new owner, Im sure I will have more questions.. we are moored at Bray, so if you have an sc35 nearby, I would be happy to buy the beer and learn what I can!!
Thanks
Ben
