Hoping to help bring one back home soon.
One fuel tank full the other virtually empty.
Are tanks totally independant or is a balance or transfer pipe in there somewhere complete with isolation valve ?

Not my boat, merely a "cabin bouy" :).
Did suggest to the skipper that prob best not to have anybody else on board , ie a young family, preferably only those able to look after themselves if things did not go to plan.
It will almost certainly be a F1 moderating trip and with two decent all weather ports en route.
Definately 370 HP engines and recently out of the water for A/F and anodes.
Have advised that the usual spares are aboard but think the chances of changing an impeller en route are nil if memory serves ?
Cruise speed advice noted.
Can you still update charts for E series plotters, def pre touch screen on board and a great big lump of a chart card in the slot.
 
Is the reason known why one tank is full and the other near empty?
The "empty" tank will be brimmed regardless prior to any departure. May be a faulty gauge ?
Boat has not been underway for some time due to owners health.
Survey now completed , anybody suggest what trim tabs would have been fitted ? Hydraulic or electric.

Recently somebody here had problems with oddball short lived Volvo Penta system, suprisingly resonably priced spares are still available.
The "Blade" was jamming up in its housing.

Are there no photographs in the survey report showing the stern and the controls at the helm? These would give us a clue . I think Sealine favoured 'Eltrim' which, as the name suggests, are electric.

A sender on one of the tanks on my boat failed and that resulted in the gauge showing full all the time (with the ignition on).

The Volvo blades are a pain in the rear. My recently sold boat had them. When they work they are good but the gearing inside the housing is apparently all plastic so it doesn’t need much to put them out of action. Had I kept the boat they would have been binned and replaced with something else. They are fairly Chen to replace but that of course means boat out of the water…

Electric eltrim probably. Underwater motor ruined by not changing a £3 gator.
