After many months of waiting we’ve eventually done the deal and we’ve bought our F43 – Lady Jazz.
There were times when I thought it would never happen!
I’m now sitting thinking “ What have I Done”!! Gulp!
I’m sure I’ll get used to the idea but I have to say I never, ever imagined that I would be sitting behind the helm of a 43 footer when I first ventured onto the River Dart in my little rubber dinghy 3 years ago.
A few pics will follow when I get to meet the Lady as her new owner on Saturday.

Congratulations, we did exactly the same as you, F33 to F43 and for the 3 years we had her, loved every time we were on her.

The only downside we found with the boat is windage, a light boat for the size, other than that 100%..

Have fun and very envious...

Congratulations. F43's are particularly good for that "I never thought i'd have a boat like this" moment, as you can stand in the aft cabin and see all the way through the saloon, dinette, and into the front cabin beyond and it feels huge.

Excellent. We had a F43 ourselves and IMHO it's one of Sealine's best designs. Also it's a good seaboat as well as being very big inside. I've always been a fan of the way Sealine integrated the cockpit and aft cabin on the 410/F43 and 450/T46. I'm sure you'll be very happy
How about some pics and you'll have to change that avatar:)

Congratulations

You've got a great boat with the F43!

We've got a 450 Statesman and even after 5 years of ownership I often stand in the aft cabin and say to SWMBO "isn't it a long way to the front!"

We've had some great adventures on ours (both good and bad!) and love her to bits.
It felt enormous when we bought her, but we knew we couldn't afford to change boats as often as some do so had to go big quite early in our boating career.
For what we paid, we got one hell of a lot of boat!!

Roll on the summer!:)

Thanks all.
If the boat performs half as good as your comments I'm gonna be very happy.
When we first looked at the boat in October I have to say I wasn’t particularly impressed with what I saw. The “leather” was poor quality vinyl and the backs of the saloon and dinette seats were held in place with Velcro! ( Replaced with quality Leather of my choice). The carpets had holes in them where something had been spilled and then badly repaired (Every thread of carpet was replaced with carpet of our choice). The galley sink tap was spewing water anywhere but the sink! ( Replaced with a quality tap). The fridge door was missing. ( found and replaced) Every extinguisher was out of date – including the ones in the engine bay.( Every extinguisher has been renewed) The genny wasn’t producing 240v. (serviced and repaired). The trim tabs weren’t working as they should. (Port side trim tab ram replaced). The teak decking was either green or black and heavily engrained. (Sanded back to restore the proper teak underneath) The VHF was not working.( Replaced) This was to name but a few of the issues, but to Essex Boat Yards (Southampton ) credit, they have corrected every one of the things I wanted correcting. There were lots of small things that were done that I won’t list but I feel that we now have the boat I was expecting to see when I first saw the boat advertised ( by a broker and not EBY I should add).
All in all I feel I’ve got a real cracker which should see my boating days complete for many years to come. Having said that, I remember feeling the same when we bought our first boat ( Searay Sundancer 270) about 3 years ago!

Well done, excellent boat which should give you many years of fun.

Look forward to seeing you on the Dart, where will she be moored?

We did the same

Maxum 290 (Twin petrol... ouch)
Sealine 360 Fly
And now F43

You get used to the size very very quickly. Much more planted in the water.

I know the feeling. It made me feel a bit nauseous for a while. Daft really. Should have been a cause for celebration. Still, I'm happy with the decision - carpe diem and all that - I could be pushing up the daisies this time next year. Enjoy her, and let's have pics please.

Not sure yet!
I think on B pontton but that could change.
Look me up in a week or so. I'll be glad to meet a fellow forumite.

I totally agree and thats what keeps thinking we've done the right thing!

Here are some pictures of the teak deck after it had been sanded. They were sent to me by the people that did it. I've yet to see it in person.
