Sealine Ammeter query....

Looking for some advice here, my S24 12volt Amp meter gauge has failed (needle stuck) and it is rated/shown on the gauge as +30 / -30 amps. Seabridge have the same physical size gauge but +50 / - 50 amps, anyone know if that is okay to fit instead i.e. any problems with the 12v electrics / inaccurate reading etc.

You need to contact Kidd power centre, he is on the forum but not sure what his name is, I'm sure correct help will be along shortly.

I'd say that you will need the correct shunt that gives the reading to the gauge, it may be different, you may even get the gauge and shunt from them at a better price.

There are five wires coming out of the driver ( behind the panel by the meters ), the 2 black are negatives to the gauges, red is power feed from voltmeter.

Now the green wire is the 30 amp meter feed, the white is the 50 amp meter feed. The shunt on the battery is common, we just adjust the signal to suit the meter.

Sealine engineers normally cut the wire off that they do not want, not useful to you.

If you stick it in the post to me I'll solder you a white wire back on, then you just reconnect and plug into the 50 amp meter. You may need to re-zero, only takes a few seconds, there should be operating notes in the Sealine handbook, I supply one with each unit.

Hi All i have the same problem i thing Amp meter is stuck on almost + 50 and no mater what i put on it hardly moves ot only goes back to 0 when i disconnect
