Please see picture. Looking for guidance.

I have a macerator pump, presumably to go TO. waste tank or.FROM waste tank??

Previous owner appears to have disconnected pump and used supply to power electric toilet!

I have a bilge pump, which works off switchboard, but not apparently off float switch! Float switch has one cable.connected, 2nd floating free...is this normal.

What is the set up in the clear box structure?

The box/pump in your picture is a grey water pump out box. It is usually fed from the shower and/or bathroom sink depending.

The macerator pump is usually there to pump OUT the holding tank via a seacock under water. So holding tank to macerator pump to seacock.
The toilet waste is handled by the toilet pump into the holding tank. If you find yourself pulling pipes off anything to do with the toilet, holding tank and or macerator pump wear a face mask. You can make yourself very ill otherwise.

Your float switch wiring is broken. Both wires should be attached to interrupt the direct 12V to the pump. Probably just a corroded/snapped connection. The other end will be close by.
