Help needed on a Sealine 1990 305 with twin Volvo TAMD 61P's,
Can anyone tell me what the P stands for on these engines, there seems to be loads of 61A's but not P's, I could do with a stats sheet, also need to know what these beasts will rev to and with the Volvo 290s what is the best pitch on the double props please. She is 32ft and not sure of best performance for sea cruising, anyone who has the same boat could you come back to me as I would love to pick your brains..B-)

P means pleasure, but I doubt a Sealine 305 would have 61P's fitted more likely they are AD31's although the P versions are much later than 1990.

Agree, most likely 4 cylinder AQAD31/290DP (assuming original engines). It would sink with 61Ps! Also, check age. Sealine stopped making 305 at the end of 89.
If you are considering buying one it would be better to opt for more powerful engines. Best choice is AQAD41 or V8 petrols.

They apparently/ allegedly hit 28 kts with the less powerful Volvos though, but don't sound very nice when pressed... :o

It might take a while to get over the hump with a boat full of stuff though

On the Survey it is a Sealine 305, Construction-Believed to be 1990, Machinery: 2x Volvo TAMD 200hp 61P Diesel Engines (they look like Kad43's without the super charger)
Two big 6 cylinders for sure.......OK now I'm confused, just had a look at the original advert and its got 41's, now that tells me the survey officer dont know his motors or there is a miss-print, any thoughts ?

Will be AD41's then, plenty of power and very sound. Sounds like surveyor is just editing a previous survey and forgot to change the engine numbers:(

All I Know is that they are the original engines and until i have another look and get the S/N's its guess work for me. Haven't played around on Sealines much, have a cruise now and again on a F33 but thats about it. What was the most common engines installed in these boats around 1989-90 regarding the 200hp volvo's. Many Thanks

Thanks all, I am putting her through a survey next week, hope the survey officer is better than the last, still I feel a little up beat knowing the engines will do the job for coastal waters, once again thanks and happy cruising
