Hello. This is rather embarrassing but - does anyone know where the fuel pump is on a Sealine 218 with a VP 205A petrol engine? I've traced the fuel line back as far as the first fuel filter. Then it seems to extend into the bulkhead where, I suppose, the fuel tank is. But I can't see anything that looks like a pump.

Hello Rob,

Sorry I can't advise of your pump problem but as someone about to take charge of a Sealine 218 in a few days I am searching anything to do with them to gain knowledge so will follow your posts with interest.

Hope you get the answer you need.

Dear FlowerPower

Excellent. That also may explain why I'm losing power a minutes after getting on the plane. Ahem :(

That's the next thing to check.

Thanks very much.

Ok - does that mean I have extra problems when I try to work out if I've got fuel starvation issues? Does a 'suck' fuel pump work like a 'push' fuel pump but...er...in reverse?

Ian, I hope you enjoy yours as much as we've enjoyed ours. They're great boats and a lot of fun.

Good luck!

!

Have you checked the tank breather? may be partly blocked / blocked, thus limited suck and limited fuel supply.

as always...

you've been a great help. thank you all very much. Halcyon - where would I find the tank breather? Can't see it on the exploded view H20 kindly provided - so I assume it's on the fuel tank? As I understand it the fuel tank is located between the engine bay and the mid-cabin. Any idea how I might get access to it?

thanks very much
