Sealant for heads plumbing?

Hi. Do folks recommend adding any gunk where (1) sanitary pipe joins the heads (2) sanitary pipe attaches to the hose tail? What sort of gunk?

Or just two opposing jubilee clips?

The flexibility of the hose will allow the jubilee clips to squash it slightly, providing a perfect seal which will not be improved by adding any sealant. Besides there will be enough other stuff sticking to it when it has to be removed for repair or maintenance
