Seagull weight

does anybody know how many kilos a seagull efnrl90/110 longshaft weighs
as I am trying to imagine the difference a new engine will make to the way my 17 footer will sail ( the engine I want to buy is a johnson 4stroke 4hp and weighs
25-27 kilos)

Don't know the weight but I know that mine gets heavier the further I have to carry it.

No idea of the axshul weight, but would expect you'd need at least 3 of em to make a good anchor!

Not necessarily true, There was an occasion several years ago where a rib was doing one of these long distance examples of stupidity and lost their main engines. They had a seagull as a backup and used that for a long time, then when the weather got worse rigged it initially as a sea anchor and then it started to bounce along the bottom. After they were rescued, the seagull was dried out and it then started and ran OK /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
