I have a 30-year old Seagull outboard motor (2hp, no reverse) still in working order and I wish to sell it. Can anyone advise me on what value it may have - even as a collectors item.
I recently bought one of that size for a project which is now cancelled. It has been fully rebuilt with it appears a new head and barrel and starts easily. I paid £85 for it and would be happy to sell it for that to anyone interested. (I live in Oxfordshire). As for your engine if a runner but worn out it would probably be worth £40, and I imagine up to what I paid for an excellent example.

You are not going to like this , but I have just bought one , built in 1975, a featherweight (like yours) and in very good condition. It cost me £40 , add to that the cost of getting a service kit and plug at about £10 .
I would keep it if I were you. If it is in good condition it will always act as an emergency motor when your new fangled engine fails you.
