I have been left wondering this afternoon whether or not the makers of these inflatable tenders create these stowable ruck sack style bags as a way of amusing themselves. Knowing someone somewhere is struggling to fit their tender back into it.

Is it even possible? .. and especially without damaging the tender itself?

Have you tried reversing the pump and sucking the air out of it?
I find that if I do that, I can get it a lot smaller than just rolling it up.

A mate of mine described getting his dinghy into its carry bag "Like putting a French Letter on a Donkey!"

Evacuating the air by reversing the pump makes a huge difference.

To getting a dinghy into its bag, not stretching latex..................................

Have you tried reversing the pump and sucking the air out of it?
I find that if I do that, I can get it a lot smaller than just rolling it up.

And take out the floor boards....

For storing on the coachroof, I bought a square of tarpaulin and wrap and lace it up like a cheese crepe. No use for moving off the boat but considerably less of a pain than trying to squeeze back in to the bag.
