i've got a seafarer 6oo not sure if its the same as yours .
there is a company advertises in pbo called solent electronics marine (01202) 301306 i spoke to them a while ago ,they can repair seafarers might be worth trying them.

Does anyone else, like me, miss their Seafarer? It was like a grandfather clock something nice to look at and accurate as well.

Me too. Might fit one with the numbers at some stage, but will keep the Seafarer as well.
