We took our Absolute 47 primarily to test the Seakeeper & Dockmate for IPS.
Boat is still in bits so had to dig out & reassemble some cushions so the girls could sit down, rocking the boat while they sat on fibreglass wouldn't have gone well.
The Seakeeper is superb at standstill & low speeds which was what was needed, achieved overall 87% reduction in roll on test, so happy with that.
Dockmate is amazing, mimics exactly the IPS joystick but you can opperate it from anywhere on the boat. We used it out in open water to keep boat beam on while testing the Seakeaper, child's play, very impressed & easy to install I am told.
Other than that she didn't miss a beat, achieved 36knts without trying with six of us on her, new Axiom system with AIS overlay very easy to use.
Should be in her home berth by end of September, fingers crossed.
To answer a question we were asked re the dishwasher, BCU fitted on of these in a cupboard in the galley, next to the sink so easy to plumb, the unit is smaller than the drawer fitted ones which wouldn't have fitted.

Hopefully while the finishing touches are being done Addenbrookes can do likewise to me !!
Any recommendations for teak swim platform & step replacement at a reasonable price ?

Were you on board too? if so good news. Boat sounds excellent - looking forward to pics.
re dishwasher; Mrs A put ours on whilst at sea (bosch) - bad idea, saloon becomes paddling pool - fortunately wood floors so no harm done.

Yes I was, had a procedure a few weeks ago which has given me more energy, still hard work though but I was getting severe withdrawal. Nicky is now happy on boat with seakeeper.
I have hopefully one more operation to go to put right the unsuccessful Harly St op. next year the weather had better be good!
Dishwasher point noted, thanks.
