Sub-20 knots sounds about right for a 32' boat on these engines, but are the props and hull clean ?

Without out wishing to be pedantic. :)
The Princess 35 was not that different in weight to the Prestige 32, if anything the former was heavier.
Both would be about 6 tons displacement and both would have had 400 HP.
A P35 with 1200 hours under its belt with full tanks and the usual junk plus crew would achieve a genuine GPS 22- 23 knots, in benign sea conditions , but less any decent chop.
Suspect any Prestige 32 with less hours and perhaps less weight ought to exceed 20 knots by decent margin.

Looking on the broker listings (and having to ignore the wide choice on EU listings for obvious reasons) prices in the UK seem to be around 80K, any 5K reduction seems to be bit on the weedy side. ?

Commonly in Denmark. Dizzy Too, most of the time.

I have a 30' planing hull, same tunnelled design.

Fully laden with fuel, water, toolbox, 2 pax, pots and pans, refreshments and then some it is 7½ ton. Clean bottom and props achieves 24 knots with 2x175 hp Nanni in small chop and rpm slightly below rated max.

Weight is key when considering top speed.

Wonderful as the Olesinski hull is , the rest of the worlds hull designers have certainly caught up.
Have gone from a Bennet hull through to a Olinski hull via a rolly polly Broom hull and have the opportunity to compare the handling of each hull simply due to having them moored alongside each other for short time , until a new owner took the boat away.

On our first badly misjudged trip out :) into somewhat interesting conditions, the ACM handled at least as well as my old Princess, but is certainly quicker and more nimble than the old Princess .Fuel consumption is better as well.
The interior build quality is nowhere as good as the Princess with mainly contact adhesive holding things together.
Up the up side it is bright and airy inside unlike the Gentlemens Club Gloom of the previous generation of boats.

The real upside is the windows do not leak, no B&Q decorators ladder or tiny loft door to squeeze through to access the flybridge.

Tranona, I have a clear walk away clause if I don't like the boat, Superheat it makes sense but I would want to see at least 25 kts wot and no smoke to proceed, everything else can be fixed, concerned about the oil pan issues mentioned earlier

The problem is most things only come to light on the trial, which has to be after lift out and clean, so smoke on WOT and other bits aren't visible, at least its on a few hundred quid.

I still like the boat, understand it was about 5k under value but that was cosmetics so will need mechanical to be good

Will keep you informed, oldgit I think you are right
Having digested this thread and OP answers, etc, I feel this is someone with rose tinted specs on looking to justify his decision to proceed.

The issues reported from the survey were not cosmetic, but those of real neglect. Also ...

Wrong end of the season.
Someone who is smitten regardless of the obvious.
Arguing on here in favour of the sellers price - you are the buyer, so why try to convince the rest of us.
Significant unknowns that could later be uber expensive.

If this is the case then you are likely beyond help. But best of luck with it.

Given the list I would make it all the sellers problem or walk. A £5k discount is negotiation not compensation for that list. Work on boats is usually expensive. Access is poor , things corrode and are difficult to remove etc so it can get out of hand quite quickly and £5k won’t go far.
The seller will have known most of this lot. And 18kts is too slow

Just to update the post, written notice of rejection submitted today, only received the draft survey as still waiting on oil samples, this confirmed everything plus some more bits

Strange thing is looking today and there are far more Sealines in the market that I was looking at before, seems the market is getting more choice than before

Nice f43 only an hour or so from me just listed

Will take off the rose tinted glasses this time

I've a 19 year old boat with twin KAD300's and none of those issues. Infact, no issues at all. That's not to say there wasn't maintenance along the way, but it was adhered to and any small issues resolved ASAP.

Here's a picture taken this afternoon of the engine bay....

PS. Incase any hawkeye spots, the belts are loose... on purpose. When we haul out for the winter, we remove the impellers (sharp eye may see them sitting on top of the engines) and loosen the belts... no point in having tension on the pulleys when not in use. 10 min job.
