I have seen the bands that push in the acupuncture sites work very well, but there is a new one that uses the same principle, but is excited by electricity that seems to be the most effective of all . Thought I had seen it at nauticalia, but its not on the website.

Also not a sufferer, but Stugeron, which MUST be started 24hrs prior to embarkation, is very effective. It does cause drowsiness for the first 24 hours, but thereafter works superbly, tiredness passes. Victim must also continue with it throughout trip. No point in any internal remedy once they are already close to vomiting, because it won't stay down.

Ginger is also said to be good, stem ginger from deli.

Can also report that lighting a cigar will bring it on more quickly!

Ginger.... in the the form of cake and biscuits.

Keep her busy doing things on the boat, rather than sitting down doing nothing, taking the helm normally helps keeping the mind off being Ick....

I find that taking tablets makes people very tired, so not a good idea unless they want to sleep all the time. wrist bands help too.

Huge long thread on this on scuttlebutt quite some time ago, when every option available was explored. Me, I like the idea of hash cakes! <g<

From someone who has never suffered with seasickness but has seen a lot.

Aparently chocolate is exceptionaly good , it does not stop you being sick but it tastes the same on the way up as when you ate it.

Seriously.
good ventilation, let the potential sufferer see the horizon, keep them cool but not cold, keep other people being sick away, keep them busy or if all else fails send them by air.
