Sea fishing trip?

I am bored witless and it’s at least 3 months until I can have my own boat back in the water. Worse still the wife is talking about decorating!
Does anyone fancy sharing a sea fishing trip either me contributing to costs on their boat, or sharing the cost of a charter boat?
I live in Notts (in the winter) so Yorks/Lincs/East Anglia/South Coast would be best for me. I am retired so day of the week is not important.
I could offer a return trip in the spring/summer on my own boat based near Oban.

When I was cleaning my boat in St Kats ready for new years eve couple of fisherman were fishing next to my boat, they were using live bait and seems to have cagught some pike, so you can fish of the back of my boat !

Or we could go out?

Bradwell Report 3rd January 2009

A much better day expected today, as for as the weather was forecast and “they “ were not wrong, Left the Marina at 8-30am and steamed out to the Swin again, not without a few hiccups, Arthur our Starboard engine (who does like rough conditions) and he had them in spades on Friday had filled his pre filter bowl with a mixture of water and sludge, and refused to rev above 1800. We plodded on in this condition until he stopped for good. We carried on on George the Port engine and got the spanners out and started to change the filter, This did not go as planned but we got there in the end, and were able to run both at 2000 on the way home.
Oh, I forgot to mention the fishing, well it wasn’t bad really Treeman and Jono caught a few between them but were not able to better their respective PB’S, this was the best one down to Treeman,

We kept these, and returned quite a few smaller ones, as you may recall I lost the Bait dropper Friday, so had to go back to a rudimentary method of ground baiting, i.e one 2lb sash lead, one Tesco’s plastic bag and ball of cord, worked a treat and brought the fish to us again.

Packed up at 3-15pm, home by 6-45pm.

As you can see we get out as often as possible, even some times when we should not be.

Got away from Marina at 8-10 am, last of the ebb carried us to the Kings Channel, and there in 40 feet we dropped the anchor. Today Andy and his brother Richard was with me (both Braid fishers) The dropper was put to work and I was casting downtide with mono, Neil and I had nearly all the fish, Andy had about three, we had the rest

mind you having said that there were not that many anyway, and it was a right snotty day. I managed to lose the bait dropper through not paying attention, so I owe the boat another one, they really do work!!

This was us on the way home.

Hope it’s better tomorrow.

Thanks for your kind and generouse offer. I would love to join you , the the journey need not be a problem, I could shorten it by staying overnight with my daughter in Cambridge.
