Scuttlebutt Falmouth?/Fowey?/Plymouth? weekend - Spring

To answer a pm, Silver mines is here, the first beach south of Porthpean golf club and farm cottages.

I live about a mile north of here. At the moment, they are filming in Charlestown and the harbour has been made into an 18C village. I'll try and pop down to take some photos tomorrow. It's quite interesting really.

The cave is about 1 cable north of the beach. There is another cave on the opposite side of the bay, well hidden but you will need a torch and some climbing skills to look inside it. it is an old tin mine access cave.

It's not for another seven months - having outlined the basic plan and got the date in people's diaries, it's quite normal for the thread to go dormant until nearer the time.

As prv said, it will remain calm for a while, then there'll be a flurry of posts nearer the time, confirmations, drop outs, menus to agree, etc. We'll probably end up with about 2/3 of the list turning up.

OK Saturday night at Fowey and day sails from there and back I presume. Anyone coming from Falmouth on Thursday/Friday to Fowey and returning later Sunday/Monday?

I think the non-plan was for the western posse to meet up in the Chain locker in Falmouth on the Friday evening for beers then sail to Fowey on Saturday. The eastern posse were talking about meeting up at a suitable hostelry in Plymouth on Friday and making the similar run to Fowey the next day if I recall correctly.
