Information coming in thick and fast for the excel spreadsheet. If you have not sent me any updated details and you have attended before I have transferred the previous details to this years spreadsheet.
Inevitably there will be some last minute cancelation esp. if weather not too good but at present its potentially a bumper year with up to 58. Hopefully everyone will arrive in time for the pontoon gathering as about 15.00 I do need to confirm total dinner numbers. If running late please phone my mobile to confirm your dinner! Please advise if any vegies. Waiting for Fergus to confirm menu but expect it to be same as last year. Will post details asap. Cost will be €28-30 each.
I will try to arrange the morning wine tasting at Normandy wines. Say about 11.30 French Time ? Please let me know if you are interested. They do arrange some nibbles with the wine tasting and IIRC give us a further 5% -10% discount on wines bought. They deliver to the boat so you will need to remember your Pontoon number!
Excel spreadsheet can include Forum Name, Real Name, Boat& length, Boat Name, No of dinners, No for Wine tasting, e mail address (if you want to receive the spreadsheet), Mobile number, departure port, day & approx. time. All info that you are happy to share. You can remain a secret squirrel if you want but boat name entltles you to the berthing discount I do give the marina a list of boats but not the e mail addresses or mobile numbers.

Unfortunately my crew has had to pull out. The really bad news is that since I got the leave pass for this swmbo has been given a solo exhibition that starts that weekend with the private view on Friday night so I'm under pressure to be at home.
Looks like another year before I get to enjoy the Cherbourg weekend.

As I said, swmbo has a private view for her exhibition and although she said she wasn't putting me under pressure to be there and drive her (she struggles with night driving) after 31.5 years I can read the runes and its probably not worth the hassle and worth definitely the points to support her.

Aha, the Pulling-Out Section of the Thread!
I'm trying not to pull out. For the first time in years I don't have the usual work-commitments, but the Ex's has suddenly re-entered Hyperbitch Mode and is refusing to swap any contact weekends this term. (So much for her much-vaunted "new spirit of amicability and co-operation"! But of course she needed that to manipulate the carp out of the summer holidays to her maximum advantage, which is of course now over.) I can't bring the Squeaker as he's back at school, and I don't want to miss seeing him for three weekends in a row.
So, will hang on in here as long as I can - something might change...?
