Congratulations!! :encouragement: What is she?

She's a Scanyacht 391. Described by my daughter as "just a big Sadler 29". But somewhat sleeker IMHO. Not seen one before but she just looked right. Hopefully we will be sailing her home next week.

True there is no rush but the enthusiasm of people putting their names down early is contagious.

A poorly supported event until say the first week in September is hardly likely to encourage others to join.

Good to see such early support.

Inevitably there will be some fallers but currently the potential runners could be circa 50. It's usually mid 30s to 40.

Just retrieved an email from Port Chantereyne from my junk folder and it contained a programme of events for this Summer. On the weekend of the Scuttlebutt rally it says:

European Heritage Days
A number of public and private buildings, monuments and sites open to the public, including several which are not always available for public visits. Entertainment and demonstrations are also planned around these monuments. Cherbourg and its surroundings. Free
