scrubbing, scraping and sploshing

Mr.T has a copper bottom requiring the most delicate rubbing with sandaper only.

Another smug look.

PD will be coming out at the end of the month for a clean up and cosmetic application of AF.

Smug look now gone.

I've saved so much on marina fees this year, I am having the yard do mine.

PM me for a price!

Smuggest look. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Who else is antifouling this weekend?

[/ QUOTE ]

There are lots of things we're missing, now that we're boatless.

Funnily enough, laying on our backs in a freezing boatyard, dressed in uncomfortable boiler suits and face protection, slapping blue gunk about is not one of them.......

Amen to that, been down to the boat this morning and it's glorious weather, but had to get back for a meeting and now trying to sort other stuff out so can't get back until tomorrow. Then the weekend is fully booked too unless I can take the day off on Sunday so some nice weather would be good

Are you about this weekend?

If everything falls into place I may sail up to Brightlingsea this weekend, although there are rather a few loose ends to tie up if I am to be allowed a pass. 50/50 at the moment.

As they say "ive done that" except somone else did the anti fouling as a sweetner on the deal so all jobs done!!! in the water and been out 3 weekends in 7 weeks , and i have only got wet once as i mistimed a duck under the spray hood in large waves on monday in all that wind /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gifso feeling farly smug /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Will be at boat until about 12 on Saturday and then on way to Gosport for RNSA AGM & Annual CTP. May call in again on way on Sunday home if not too hungover!

Only got one more full day available to get boat ready and that is Mothering Sunday - do you think SWMBO will accept the argument that as she is not my mother I don't need to be at home? I am normally sailing (singlehanded) on our wedding anniversary! Might have to take a day off work to get finished.

Jessie is getting professional attention. Since she has been out of the water for over a year it seemed a good opportunity to scrape everything off her bottom and have some epoxy applied. Cost of this is now 20% above initial estimate. It will be worth it, won't it? Still hoping to be in the water in April. In the meantime having a lovely time sprucing up the two oars I have just acquired and playing with the new, secondhand outboard for the dinghy.
