My favourite floating sunglasses have become slightly scratched. Is there anyway I can polish the scratches out or is it time to fork out another 30quid?

Try Brasso, it's not so abrasive as T cut. MER have also recently brought out a scratch reoming product. It works great on washboards and hatchs so might also work on sunglasses

I always thought sunglases had a thin film coated on them. i.e polarised. My son has gone through so many glasses that are ment to be scratch resistant I have tried to get these scratches removed but to no avail. Just fork out another hundred pounds.

I think you need to get new glasses soon and keep the old ones as spare

Mate of mine swears by Oakley. I took the mick that he was a spendthrift fashion victim. He stated he has thrice damaged his Oakleys (frames and lenses), thrice sent them in and thrice received replacement glasses; no charge, gratis and entirely free of financial encumbrance.

Next time I might buy some Oakleys.

Toothpaste then TCut might do it.

Seconded with the toothpaste.

Also works on dull and scratched compass glass.

I can concur with that, did my compass last year following a tip from this forum. Might even have been a tip from the circular one himself.
