Thankyou, is this a common language not studied at O or A level? Not that it matters, I’d almost certainly have failed the exam:)

It’s more of a dialect than a new language, spoken across the land in pubs, clubs, and sitting rooms late on Friday and Saturday evenings.

I understand young police officers must demonstrate proficiency before being allowed out on these nights :)

The virus will be around for a while. We can either keep trying to avoid it for months or years or we can go back to running the country and economy, educating the children and just carrying on as we have done with any other bug or virus kicking around. Those of us using a small amount of common sense will avoid it just as we avoid winter flu every year but there will always be some with no common sense.

This morning it was reported that up to 2.5 million people may have had urgent treatment for cancer and other illnesses delayed because of the lockdown with terminal consequences for some. That's around 8 times the number said to have had CV and 66 times the number said to have died from it. Not one of them got a round of applause.

"for some":Bad maths, bad argument. Common sense is the refrain of those who can't articulate detail.
