Scary how much can go wrong with a new boat

Not sure the word Cheap can be used in this regard.
To me Cheap is an all you can eat Chinese Buffet for £10.99
Great, then (mutatis mutandis) you already have a pretty good idea of why the word cheap is indeed appropriate also for Bering boats! :ROFLMAO:

I did see that post and just read it back. I did not understand it to be honest which is my fault not yours. To me vessels like this are not boats but ships and to be honest if they are too big to crew yourself I kind of totally loose interest...... Not that anyone would care cos I could I could probably only just afford the Tender
tbh I think once you remain sub 80 feet 24 meters you are still in the yacht category, then in the small ships category.
I know many owners who crew less sub that size.
Obviously in case of the Bering where they are selling a craft which according to them can go anywhere, then I would accept a lot of things to be better then what it is told in this video.
Bering recent history has been a bit patchy to say the leat, I think at first they had to fully build in the USA, then some hulls where made in China or in Asia, and then in the last two three years moved to Turkey.
I think the company was also in the beginning American (or part American) owned with one of the owner coming from other American shipyard or dealership.

Given that my largest boat is 24 ft and the biggest I aspire to might be 40 ft..... Until I read some of the comments in this thread I had never heard of Bering.......... Perhaps in the same way that some in this thread did not realise that it is possible to get a meal for £10.99  and also it was very good ...... Surely not possible I hear you cry

I did have the finest fish n chips in a pub this year for that sort of money . Unbeaten for the price.

Regrettably some places that have held their prices have reduced quality , which I expect will prove to be a mistake. I am thinking folks are going to think twice before eating out in 2023 which may see the end for more of the hospitality sector. Eating out may become an occasional luxury.

I haven't heard of a Bering either but for the price I would have thought they would send the remedial works people to the boat rather than moving the boat.

I'm a small investor in a high end pub chain, and a decision was made to increase prices to maintain quality of the food offering. Given that a burger is £18.50 a pop I think it's the right decision for that business.

In a similar vein, Aldi,Lidl, Waitrose and Marks will do well, the other supermarkets will be squeezed. (Apologies for thread drift..)
