Just had an email. Supposedly from NATWEST telling me my online banking has been closed and therefore I would not be able to log in. It instructed me to log into a NWB log in number.

Instead I phoned the UK NWB fraud office. Good job I did. It was a scam. They told me to delete it, clear browsing history, close down and re-boot.

I then logged into NWB all OK

I was also told that they will not ever email me.

Please be aware.

By the way it all looked authentic on NATWEST Header Paper.

I get at least 10 phishing emails like this every day and have done for years. It doesn't matter how you arrange your spam filters they just get around it and I've learned to live with it.

Mine was only the third time to get a financial type request. It was the first email from what we thought was NATWEST. We do only online banking hence they stated No emails ever to us.

Sorry for my abrupt approach Tony and others who do get proper emails from there banks.
