Have just managed to get flights from Glasgow to Bournemouth for the last weekend of the show for £4.00 + Tax return. Now Iam looking for somewhere to stay on Saturday night.

Any suggestions

last year I found a holiday inn express (Southhampton West I think) for 50 quid a night, although I think its a bit more this year. - it was a about 10-15quid by taxi, so the next day we drove in and an enterprising local businessman was letting people park in his yard for a tenner, about 5 mins walk from the main gate!
We found the hotels by trawling the web. This year as we will probably still drive to the show from the hotel we may go a bit further away and perhaps spend a bit of time in the new forest.

As always depends on how much you want to pay and how far you want to travel.

A short distance from SBS is an Ibis Hotel and a Novotel about £58 per night.

A little further away is a Travel lodge this is about a £5 cab ride away.

There's a new Premier Lodge just opened next to Southampton Airport. and Parkway railway station. This is only about 8 minutes by train and will cost a couple of quid railfare

There are some B&B's in Hill Lane which may be worth a try also.

The De Vere Grand Harbour is right by SBS and the Holiday Inn ( previously Forte is inside SBS but I suspect these will be fully booked.

Hope the above helps.

Just remembered there's another Premier lodge fairly central in Southampton but this is quite close to the football ground so may get full early depending if Saints are home that week.

We have got it sussed.
The son is at Southampton Uni.
He has just rented a 5 bed house with 4 mates.

No problem!
