I have that one as the balls-up you'll have if you hit it :)

(Actually the main way I remember it is knowing what Black Rock outside Falmouth looks like, including the balls on top of its pole)

Red right returning is for IALA B. Best forgotten over here

I humbly disagree - having done most of my early sailing in the Caribbean I have always remembered Red Right Returning.

When I'm sailing in the Med (or UK) I know it's not the Caribbean so I just reverse one of the terms so it becomes Green Right Returning or Red Left Returning!

You could always try Red wRong Returning ;)

not very nautical but one i always liked we the "TWAIN" device in computer. "Thing Without An Interesting Name".
its one of the few i can actually remember.
