Saving your batteries - anyone have experience of using LED lamps in t

Re; using LED lamps in t

Surfing the web, I came upon yet another forum of interest. I have learned more from these than almost anything!

First, I disclose that I am a the guy who makes the FirstStar led lights, been making them almost a decade, longer than anybody.

I would like to comment about led navigation lights.

There is a lot more to an efficient, reliable, and correct led nav light than most realize.
Yes, you can DIY (that is how I started) but there are a few things you need to know to acheive success.

In a nutshell, led's are not light bulbs and cannot be treated as if they were.

For a more detailed explanation of some hows and whys of leds, go to http://www.firststarled.com/technical_full.html

I am about to add another page dealing with anchor lights only, if anyone wants a copy email me and I will send it.

I would be happy to supply info for those on the list who would like to make their own led lights, just 'drop me a
line'.
Gotta run, my Schipperke needs a walk!-Ken
