Spent a lovely couple of days there this summer with my family and spent an hour in the company of Mike Pickles, asking him lots of daft questions about rigging! Would be a shame if anything were to change for the worse in this unique place.

I've donated as I'm local and it is important to me that we keep Southwold Harbour 'as is'.

Obviously, there will be other opinions regarding the route forward - but if you feel you can donate something it would be a greatly appreciated I'm sure.

That is also my thought. When I arrived here last year, it was the one thing that struck me, the fact that it is simply untouched. Things are “as they were”. I think the most modern thing in the whole harbour is the harbourmasters flashing speed warning sign!

Some people might just say it’s just a muddy old river but it is a charming thing, that if not preserved, will end up sterilised and irreversibly changed.

and it is important to me that we keep Southwold Harbour 'as is'.
