I was kindly invited on board "Snowleopard" as crew on the Cherbourg trip.
I have never experienced an ocean passage on board a large cruising catamaran.
In addition this one was built by the owner. If you look at the web site you will find out more including some of the voyages made.
Now as someone who has built several dinghies I can appreciate the work and dedication involved in building a craft of this size. Also I can (now) imagine the satisfaction in making something in which you could live and travel to far flung and exotic places.
The thought occurred to me that (to state the obvious) unlike women, men cannot conceive babies but one way in which they can experience the satisfaction of creation is to build a self contained floating home.
So, the question is:- How much satisfaction do others achieve from their interest?
And how have they achieved this?
