Sardinia - temporary forbidden areas till end of May

Just found this, there are NATO exercises around Sardinia, a number of areas have been closed to any maritime activity (sailing, fishing, anchoring, etc), most of them until May27th

That is madness, there is not even a chartlet showing the areas. I don't know how you found that document but I suspect that very few yachtsmen would ever stumble across that. I am following the blog of a friend of mine and he left Menorca a few day ago and has just arrived in Sicily going south of Sardinia he may well have been through those zones and would not have been any the wiser.

We've usually found warnings of exercises or live firing to be broadcast on NAVTEX
