LOL, yeah, flash she definitely is, with 40+ metres/knots worth of lenght/cruise speed!
Not my cuppa by any stretch of imagination, but I must say that from a strictly aesthetic viewpoint, a MoBo of that size can hardly get much nicer.
Below another pic showing the whole thing, while we wait for further updates from Hurricane, currently restricted by low bandwidth.
And yes, all these pics were taken around the island - along its W coast, which is rarely as calm as above - hence my comments about glorious weather (as I'm writing, I guess there must be 2+m waves, in the very same spot!

Actually, I don't think so.
Those guys seemed to enjoy diving in as above - in fact they did it several times, and it was pretty obvious that it was made purposedly.
I suppose the trick is, as in a normal plunge, avoiding to crash flat in the water.
As in the following pics (courtesy of Hurricane): looking at the first, you would think that truly yours is going to squash horizontally, but as you can see, eventually the entry was reasonably good and didn't hurt at all.... :cool:

That's a nice option, I also gave it a try some time ago (not having any AIS - not even a receiver - onboard), and it does work nicely.
But I hope your friends are aware that it's pretty useless for the original purpose of AIS, i.e. collision avoidance! :eek:

Btw, the photos are to your usual high standards, along with Hurricane's(and other contributors)they all add up to a great thread. A real joy to read.

It's just the optical illusion the crystal clear Med waters create, his head and shoulders were actually a metre below the water surface, demonstrating a shallow entry dive.
He will have to lose points though for the bent knees and arms apart! :)

Ahh, city centre marinas excluded Pete and Port Vells is perfect for location. Currently in Red Dot Bay so normal service resumed... :-)
 
Update
Anchored off Alcudiamar yesterday and went in on the dinghy.
Marina isn't that busy so we did an overnight deal 150 euros inc water and leccy
JW doesn't have a watermaker and we were half full so, with friends due tomorrow a fillup was a good idea.
So, after a comfortable overnight in Alcudiamar marina, we are now at sea agajn - heading round the north.
Big swell forecast for the north so we will go south.
Maybe anchor in Calobra or Solier tonight then Santa Ponsa or Palm Nova tomorrow.
 
Bit rough in the Baldricks at the moment.
Had a good night in Calobra
Then a rough run down to Santa Ponsa
Very swelly night so now in Palma Nova - north side.
Still a bit swelly

Again, pics will follow much later on.
 
Thanks for that... Thought these were anchored but most on buoys. Does Jenny wren have James Bond style escape pods. Maybe a feature Mike you think about :)

Porto Cervo is actually on the NE corner of Sardinia (whereas Carloforte is on the SW corner) and is superyacht alley. For some reason they're all attracted like flies to the posh hotel at the top of the bay.

Whatever these are, I've got to have some. My anchor bobs about all over the place;)

One yacht has 'anchor stabilisers' which can be deployed to reduce the boat rocking once it has dropped anchor
 
Funny you should mention it, I was also wonderigng WTF those things are.
Whatever, I guess that after the AnCam, we might as well christen them "AnStabs", and look forward to see them installed on Match, JW, BA..... :cool:
