My boat is drystacked so looking to have all antifoul removed.

Then what should I have applied?? do not need antifould as now drystacked. Would like to be left with smooth finish. what sort of cost for everything 36 foot boat

Why apply anything if it will be kept dry stacked?

Club member lifted boat a month or two ago to apply Coppercoat after grit blasting.
After several weeks boat returned to water sans any A/F at all.
Initial application of Coppercoat refused to do whatever it is supposed to do, due to recent weather conditions.
He is going to try again in spring.

That's a pricey mistake to make!

Nick, you are right, but keep in mind that coppercoat IS epoxy, so the necessary 4-5 thin coats of it will also act as a proper barrier.

You'd think so wouldn't you, but ARC, who are experts in Coppercoating, recommend an epoxy barrier coat between blasting and coppercoating. This can either be a solvent based epoxy applied some time before, or water based applied by them the day before. The Coppercoat itself is water based.

Unless you know otherwise that probably just means it rained after they'd applied it (or didn't stop raining long enough for them to try), as it's water based and needs a couple of days to dry, or it will just wash off. Ask me how I know this

Not sure what condition of boat will be under the antifoul once its removed
