Sanda does come with the additional benefit of having been bought by some uppity millionaire who imagined that they could ban oiks landing on their island, so exercising the right to roam comes with a helping of schadenfreude.

Never had any issue in recent years on Sanda. But don’t use their private pier or walk close to their private house.
Plenty of other space to land a dinghy

I have landed a few times since 2011. As far as I can tell there is still no definite answer to whether the owner can keep anyone off the pier - as it likely covers at HWS etc. I have avoided the house/garden, although you do have to walk past them to access the rest of the island, on the original (presumably NLB) track.

(I posted about access in 2011)

It’s very easy to land on the beach SE of the pier, or near the old boathouse, and pick up the track from there. No need to use pier or pass close to house.
That’s what everybody did when we were there, and seems a respectful way to land on the island.
