Sanda Island - since MOWI took over?

Has anyone been to Sanda Island this year, since Mowi acquired it?
I'm considering as a stopover on my way around The Mull.
I've anchored there before, but the last owner was hostile to visitor.
For my experience fish farms just make a mess of the place with abandoned equipment, fork lift trucks, keep out signs and signs on pontoons saying for staff only.
It use to be great place when the pub was open.

Nothing will have changed yet.
Anchor where suits using the Antares Chart, and if going ashore go onto the beach which us convenient, rather than using tje private pier (all standard stuff with Scotland right to roam rules, but keeping away from private property).
Not had any issues with "unfriendly owners" for a few decades now?

MOWI rep has already said won't be any fish farms in anchorage area, may consider visitor moorings and would hope to reopen pub - but if so will bevsome time off.

Thanks for the update.
As you know the tides are strong in that area, wonder where they plan to moor the fish cages.

Fish farms now tend to be in places where there is a good run of tide. It flushes away the crap. Very different from the early cages which were often in good anchorages.

Spent the night there earlier this month. No change evident. The old mooring bouys have been removed.

We anchored 2 years ago during RTM, there was a sign on a shed by the beach very visible from the beach saying something like "Livestock no dogs". We just let our dog ashore on the lower part of the beach. Not sure if dogs are allowed or not this year. Holding was good, wind was NW 15 to 20 knots, reasonably well sheltered. Better in S wind though!

There is a large herd of deer on Sanda, and around 50 sheep, (Blackies).
I imagine the no dogs signage was from the time it was properly being farmed. My dog has been ashore on Sanda, but she is a trained sheepdog, and wont go after sheep unless given the word.
For anyone elses dog which might chase sheep or deer, it would be sensible to keep them on a lead if landing on Sanda.

Many thanks for the post, our lab has no interest in sheep, but needs to manage her expectations when she sees Roe deer. If she is with me and we stop for a comfort stop we will keep to the beach again. I wonder if she will be allowed in the pub when it reopens
