One exception to this is the Amazon Kindle Fire, at least the version I have, which is a few years old. I was a bit shocked when I discovered this, so I had a nose around the internet. Opinions seemed to be divided between "the chip is fitted but isn't enabled" and the chip isn't fitted. In either case, a serious failing, to my mind. Even my Hudl, which must be 7 or 8 years old now, and very much budget kit has one, and runs Navionics fine, if only I could see the screen on a sunny day.Android has GPS as normal. Whether it has All systems such as Glonass, Indian, Chinese as well as the USA GPS is down to branding,
