I think he said 10 attempts to tack, should he have bourne away a bit to pick up some more speed to allow him to tack?

A happy sailor in very serious seas. The video is very long. Does he film the floodgates and in case at what time? Looks to me that at times the boat is overpowered and could have reduced the jib.

My only experience of the Adriatic is of looking out on it from Riccione on a fine summer day. There was a chap in my set as a student who managed to drown somewhere there around 1960. He was with another of our set who was an emigre Hungarian who was a tough chap who had represented Hungary in the 1956 Olympics at water polo but who decided that it was too rough in the water to risk going in that day. Darwin in action I’m afraid.
