'Sailors' protest at Bradwell

There is a distillery just along the road from me in Norfolk making whisky - they started last year so only about 10 years to wait now until it is drinkable.

My 2 weeks in the Western Isles has changed my view of Malts!

Ahem.

Actually, the youngest sprit to be considered to qualify as a single malt is 4 years.
As it is not in Scotland, their arcane rules do not really count. Hence the Welsh Whiskey - Prince of Wales.

I do suggest that they go straight for a 1st use Sheerry barrel for casking, which will impart decent coulour iin short time.

I wish them the best of luck, and, as a collector as was, I will no doubt go there to sample their wares, and tick off their distillery on my map.

In the light of there being no real alternatives it has to be nuclear. The problem is going to be the timescales, the last PWR at Sizewell took almost 20 years to build, but I'm sure the French wont mind us importing their spare power until our new stations are built!

My main concern is that as soon as our noddy Govt gets wind of possible protests around Bradwell then we are all going to be treated as possible enviro protestors which will surely mean lots more men in black hanging around in big ribs and stopping innocent sailors for a "friendly chat". I certainly support the right to protest but remember our Stasi Govt doesnt!
