It is a bit worrying that he is immobile, but I have seen patients so affected make a virtually full recovery, either quite soon or over the course of months. A left-sided stroke shouldn't affect speech itself, since the relevant area is on that side, and the crossover means that it is spared. My mother had a right-sided stroke and never spoke again.

Might ask, is this The Sailorman who went to the 'other side', has moorings at Ramsholt and another Local River, or are they different Sailorman ?

Just puzzled and asking ?

Ah well that confirms it then, those that abscond to 'the other side' oft adopt a different persona not sure why, maybe either a second personalty to be given Air to, hiding from their past, moving on into pastures green, grown up (LS?) or a thousand other reasons, but they do seem to sort of recant later on in life and return suitably chastised or summat
