I found www.PhoenixYachtClub.co.uk a very cost-effective way to get experience, tuition and qualifications. Cheaper than booking a course.

Why? Clubs can be a very economic way of learning to sail. My club can arrange and teach all levels of Sailing. The family membership is only £150 a year, and the basic sailing instruction only £5 a session. Once you graduate to offshore then of course, things get more expensive..
