Actually, quite a nice concise vid. Only 1 dolphin & not too many views of waves en route.

Good, concise video but not going around the top took the edge off for me.

Yeh, missed out isle of Wight, northern Scotland, Orkneys, Shetlands, Rockall, various Hebrides and other Scottish isles (though to be fair, they're two a penny) and Isles of Scilly. We should demand a refund!

Lets be honest. Yes, doesn't stand comparison with Suffolk, Essex & North Kent on the East Coast: such a variety of mud and sea walls, and no flippin' scenery blocking one's sky vista.
p.s. I missed out Norfolk and Lincs. (But who wouldn't?
)

Apart from the Medway with its rotting jetties, disused powerstation , crumbling warehouse, dumped barge & bridge to nowhere, you could be planted up a couple of Essex creeks & not know which one you were in. Ahh!! yes but you get grass sticking out of the water to show you the way out when you want to escape. You have to admit that the view across the marshes at Southwold is breathtaking- Apart from the knackered pontoons, dodgy fishing boats & sheds, of course. Not to mention the road to get there if coming from the sea front. Well worth the daylight robbery for a night's stay. A must on every circumnavigators itinery

It is called charm
& whilst I take the p..ss I still think it takes a lot of beating as a sailing area for anyone with a small boat. It not only provides a host of havens for all types, it has a massive challenges for those wanting to learn how to navigate before venturing further afield.
Getting back to the subject matter
If you can sail the east coast with a degree of confidence, then a round UK, whether it be via the Cally canal or not, is well within one's capabilities.
