Ardentinney was closed for a year and just re-opened last season, so maybe they've moved on.

Hmmm, I think I know who 'Miss McKenzie' might be. Long dark hair?

And do you think I would walk into the Victoria, sidle up to a barmaid and inform them that some dodgy bloke called Claymore had asked me to pass on the information that he is slowly poisoning his wife?

I'd get lifted by Strathclyde finest.

Hmm
A warm evening
Black Eyed-Biddy playing their stuff
Fine food
Great Beer
Isle of Jura malt and the Maid behind the Bar becoming more delectable by the minute.
I may have to go and have a lie down!

You'd be Ok but the nationwide manhunt for Claymore would be stepped up, quite rightly as he's got history in the poisoning dept ... tell us more about Miss McK?

Ah, the result of a convivial evening in the Victoria. Got carried away with the atmosphere? Next time go the the Islay Frigate. Unlikely to happen again.

It could be one of two beauties. Both tall, one blond(e) one dark - both luscious.

Green with envy that Claymore could even hold them in conversation long enough to get a name.

Wonder if they had a fisherman boyfriend standing at the end of the bar whetting his favourite gutting knife?

Yes - the swamp donkey there would be a challenge indeed. Mind you, a few days away and its a marvel how things can look better.

Jura

Chipping in here - When we were there last (3 weeks ago) the visitors moorings at Craighouse were getting the swell on them and so we were all rolling around. I shifted onto the Pier (on the Village side)
there's little tidal range and so setting lines is straightforward. If you do this there is a Council Yard opposite the toilet block and I borrowed(and returned) a plank from here to sit against the pier supports. Very peaceful place to tie up to and a decent ladder. I was also mildly alarmed to be in shallow water for much of the Loch - around 12 feet if you come in from the North and cut through between the Islands.

Re: Sorry Donald

Em Craighouse, Craighouse and I beleive there is an anchorage within the Gulf of Corybrekan...Coooryvhre that is nice for a picnic out of the stream but have never tried it. Maybe others have better knowledge.

Loch tarbert on the west side is great.
